Man charged with distracting driving after crashing into building

A Lloydminster man has been charged after driving into a building Sunday night.

Around 11PM, the RCMP responded to a motor vehicle collision where a vehicle drove into a local storefront at the 3800 block of 50th Avenue, later identified as Willow Creek Clothing.

An investigation was completed on the scene and the driver was hit with a distracted driving charge. The person’s name has not been released.

No one was hurt due to the accident, but there was substantial damage to the car and the storefront. Willow Creek Clothing was closed Monday for clean up, but will re-open Tuesday.
