4th Annual President’s Gala on the horizon

The 4th Annual President’s Gala fundraiser for Lakeland College is only a few short months away.
Happening Friday, April 8th, 2016, the evening will feature cocktails, dinner, both live and silent auctions, a luxury raffle, VIP reception, red carpet photos, and a musical performance with special guest, Michelle Wright, the award-winning Canadian vocalist.
Also, this year’s theme is under the sea. Manager of Alumni & College Development at the school, Nadine Walker-Perry says the Lakeland College gym will be transformed into an “underwater, magical, oasis.”
Last year was a milestone fundraising year for the college, offering $1.2 million in scholarships, awards, and bursaries to students, in part from the Gala fundraising.
“Now that we’re in our fourth year with this event, we definitely have goals of [raising] $50,000 and plus,” says Perry.
“This year’s obviously a bit of a different year within the community of Lloydminster. So any support that we’re getting, we’re [so] appreciative [of]. And because this money goes directly to students, we’re still trying to keep a goal around that mark.”
Tickets are $250.00 each or $2000.00 for a table. To get tickets contact Carrie Boerrichter at 780-871-5413, or by email at [email protected]
