Bobcats’ Ladies Night fundraiser back for another year

The Lloydminster Bobcats had their annual Ladies’ Night fundraiser Saturday January 16th. As in previous years, the entertainment for the evening was Marquee Dueling Pianos.
With nearly 300 ladies in attendance and having sold out a month in advance, the organization was shooting to raise $10-15,000 on the night, as has been done in previous years. The night included games, a midnight buffet, a photo booth, and the Bobcats in attendance for part of the night, helping the event run smoothly.
First-time organizer and attendee of the event, Bobcats Administrator, Kandace Letkeman said the Bobcats were “super pumped” to be doing the event and that she, herself was very excited to be a part of it. As the counterpart to the Evening of Champions, which Letkeman explains is geared more towards men, Ladies Night, “is a night ladies can go out and just let loose, have fun” she says.
Business Manager for the Bobcats, Malcolm Radke, who Letkeman says did help her here and there when she needed, says a lot of the event’s success is dependent on the entertainment.
“They kind of set the tempo on the night, and these dueling pianos, it’s been 3 or 4 years in a row with these guys. So they know what they’re getting into…they know how to get the crowd pumped up, and they know how to do a few small things that make a huge difference on the fundraiser budget lines,” explains Radke.
“They’re pretty slick and they know what they’re getting themselves into with 300 screaming, excited ladies.”
Radke also said the Buckle Country Saloon stepped up and sponsored the event by offering a limo shuttle to the Buckle for the official after-party and attendees were granted line-up and no cover charge with their Ladies’ Night tickets.
