Bull riders head to Lashburn Friday for memorial tournament

Lashburn will play host to some of the world’s best bull riders this Friday, at the 11th annual Brad Phipps Memorial rodeo. Several members of the Professional Bull Riders Canada Touring Pro will be in attendance, including several highly-ranked riders from the US and even a few from Australia. The event is a fundraiser for infrastructure in the community of Lashburn, and is held in honour of former bull rider Brad Phipps, who died in a tragic workplace accident in 1997. Trevor Beaton, committee chair of the Brad Phipps Memorial, says the event is something Phipps would have enjoyed. Tickets to the rodeo are 25 dollars. The competition will start at 7 P-M.
