Weekly organics pickup starts April 5

The City of Lloydminster will be moving back to weekly organics pickup starting on April 5th.

The city states they see an 80 per cent increase in organic waste during the spring and summer as they collect waste from more than 8,300 properties in the city. The seasonal adjustment usually sees organic pickup moving to a bi-weekly schedule at the start of November.

They say over 13,400 tonnes of organic waste has been diverted from the landfill since 2013.

A full schedule can be found at Lloydminster.ca/curbside.
