Drive Thru Vaccine Clinic open April 15th in Lloydminster

A drive thru COVID-19 vaccine clinic will be open tomorrow.

The clinic will be giving out vaccines to those between the ages of 52 and 54 only.  It will be held at the Lloydminster Exhibition Grounds from 9AM to 4PM.

All drive thru vaccines will be first come first served, with no appointments needed. Anyone who has made an appointment however and chooses to get the vaccine this way is asked to cancel their existing time.

The Saskatchewan Health Authority says they’re also introducing the Pfizer/BioNTech to all current and future drive-thru immunizations clinics.

This change will help to remove any vaccine-related age-barriers that prevent immunization of younger residents, they say.

Which vaccine someone gets will depend on several factors, but the SHA notes they are safe, effective and approved for use in Canada as well as effective in preventing serious illness or hospitalization.

Additional details for drive-thru and walk-in clinics, including wait times can be found at www.saskatchewan.ca/drive-thru-vax
