The Canadian Armed Forces have charged a member with negligence after the death of an army reservist at CFB Wainwright.

According to the Canadian Press, the military says they’ve charged Corporal Lars Callsen after an investigation into the death of Corporal James Choi, an army reservist from British Columbia who was killed during a training exercise in October of 2020.

Callsen, of the 3rd Battalion, Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry, has been charged with one count of negligence. His trial will be proceeding through the military justice system, according to the CAF.
