Saskatchewan’s Free Fishing is on this weekend July 10-11

Its no license required this weekend July 10-11.

The 2021 Summer Free Fishing Weekend allows Saskatchewan residents and visitors to try  sport fishing on any public waters open to sport fishing without having to pay the licensing fees.

This Saskatchewan Summer tradition dates back to 1989 and gives residents the option to learn about the rich and diverse angling opportunities available in the province.

Over 250,000 people enjoy sport fishing in Saskatchewan each year. The Free Fishing Weekend is just the right time to try out this sport and cast a line as a first timer.

Environment Ministry officials are reminding that Free Fishing Weekend does not apply in national parks where a federal licence is required. Anyone planning on taking fish out of the province must purchase a licence.

Anglers will be required to follow all COVID-19 public health orders. As well, all catch limit and size regulations remain in effect.

More information can be found at the Saskatchewan Anglers Guide.

His mantra is focus on one thing and do it well.
