Maidstone RCMP investigating fatal single-vehicle accident

The Maidstone RCMP says one person has passed away after a single-vehicle accident Thursday morning.

Officers of the Maidstone and Lloydminster RCMP, along with Lloydminster EMS and the Legacy Fire Department were called to the accident at the Highway 16 and 303 junction around 2 AM on August 26th.

Officers found the single truck in the accident had rolled with four people inside. One adult female passenger had passed away on the scene, while three adult males, including the driver, were transported to the hospital with injuries.

The RCMP says an update on their condition is not yet available, and no names of the victims have been released.

The detachment adds that the investigation is ongoing, using help from the RCMP Collision Reconstruction. The scene has re-opened to traffic at this time.
