RCMP investigating murder in Moosomin First Nation

The RCMP Major Crimes Unit North is investigating a murder on the Moosomin First Nation.

Around 4 AM on September 5th, officers from the North Battleford RCMP were called to the scene on reports of an altercation at a home in the area. Police and EMS crews on the scene found a 30-year-old man hurt. The victim did pass away on the scene.

The victim has been identified as 30-year-old Catlin Frenchman from Moosomin First Nation. His death was ruled homicide and his family has been notified.

The MCU-N investigation is ongoing, with assistance from the North Battleford RCMP, Saskatchewan RCMP General Investigation Section, RCMP Police Dog Services, RCMP Forensic Identification Services and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service.

Anyone who may know anything about this crime is asked to contact the RCMP, CrimeStoppers, or in an emergency, 9-1-1.
