SHA opens online booking for COVID-19 testing

As of Tuesday November 30th, the Saskatchewan Health Authority’s Patient Booking System can be used to book a COVID-19 test online for testing sites across the province.

The SHA says anyone experiencing symptoms of COVID or who has been informed that they may have been exposed to COVID should be tested as soon as possible. Booking online makes it possible to see all the dates and times that may work if drive-thru or walk-in testing is not an option.

Officials say the Patient Booking System allows individuals to book a test for themselves or for multiple people at once. All that is needed is a health card number and a valid email address or cell phone number. The SHA has also posted video instructions on YouTube for individuals and groups.

If someone does not have a health card or needs help booking a COVID test, they may call HealthLine 811 for assistance.

Also, if someone needs proof of a negative test before travel or before attending an event, they may access user-pay COVID-19 asymptomatic testing through a private lab. A list of user-pay labs can be found on the province’s COVID-19 website.

Gerry has lived in Lloydminster since winter 2010. That detail is important as coming from the Caribbean he did not see green grass until May. Now an Alberta/Western Canada resident, you would be hard-pressed to find a stronger proponent of Lloydminster than the news guy that appreciates a healthy dose of rock music and dress code leather. His mantra is focus on one thing and do it well.
