Suspicious vehicle, sawed off shotgun and charges, Vermilion RCMP

Three Lloydminsterites are among six people who have been charged following a police investigation in Vermilion.

On Wednesday January 19th, an off duty RCMP officer saw a white pick up truck travelling in what they determined to be in excess of the posted speed limit on Highway 16.

On duty Vermilion RCMP were informed and the vehicle was located parked at a lounge in the town of Vermilion. A traffic stop was conducted and support was called in from Kitscoty RCMP, Vermilion Traffic Services and the Eastern Alberta District RCMP Crime Reduction Unit.

Officers say there were two women in the vehicle and they found a sawed off shotgun on the passenger seat. The duo was arrested and taken into custody.

Police determined the truck had been reported as stolen. Further investigation revealed that some people inside the lounge were also allegedly connected to this incident. Officers arrested and took them into custody.

His mantra is focus on one thing and do it well.
