Proactive RCMP COMPSTAT patrols continue to show results in crime reduction

Over the weekend, Lloydminster RCMP conducted a traffic stop on an unregistered vehicle and arrested four individuals.

In the early morning hours of Sunday, March 20th, while making patrols in one of Lloydminster’s “hot spots,” Police pulled over an unregistered vehicle. A bat, masks, gloves, meth pipe, sawed-off pellet gun, and a handgun-style pellet gun were located inside the vehicle. The four occupants were taken in on outstanding warrants.

“This is a great example of pro-active policing. The focus on patrolling hot spots as part of our crime reduction strategies continues to prove successful,” said Constable Grant Kirzinger.

33-year-old, Leon Pahtayken, and 34-year-old, Twaine Naistus, both of Onion Lake, were charged with Possession of a weapon; 25-year-old, Warren Littlewolfe, of Onion Lake was charged with Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, Obstruction, Identity fraud, and Weapons possession contrary to a court order; 34-year-old, Kendrick Buffalo, also from Onion Lake was charged with Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, Obstruction, Identity fraud, 2 counts of Driving while disqualified, Weapons possession contrary to court order, as well as 6 charges under provincial statutes.
