Alberta Air Tour coming to the Border City

From Cessnas to Mooney’s, helicopters, an F1 rocket and a long-EZ are all being invited to fly into the Lloydminster Airport on Saturday June 4th.

This as the Alberta Air Tour touches down in the Border City for their provincial summer show. Attendees can also expect to see lake buccaneers and popular home builds such as the RV14, according to the city.

The aircraft will arrive between 7:30-8:30 a.m. with the show open from 8-11 a.m. Those wanting to watch the aircraft land are encouraged to arrive early. The 186 Lloydminster Air Cadet Squadron will also be on hand to provide a free pancake breakfast, starting at 8 a.m., while quantities last.

Katlin Ducherer, Economic Development Officer with the city says,”The Alberta Air Tour is an exciting opportunity to showcase the Lloydminster Airport and the aviation industry. This unique event will raise awareness surrounding investment opportunities to the Lloydminster Airport and the region.”

The Alberta Air Tour encourages new people to learn how to fly, introduces people to Lloydminster’s aviation club and celebrates the aviation industry in the province.

The northern Alberta tour will also be making stops in Cold Lake and St. Paul.

Gerry has lived in Lloydminster since winter 2010. That detail is important as coming from the Caribbean he did not see green grass until May. Now an Alberta/Western Canada resident, you would be hard-pressed to find a stronger proponent of Lloydminster than the news guy that appreciates a healthy dose of rock music and dress code leather. His mantra is focus on one thing and do it well.
