Border City rolls up for Tim’s Camp Day

“It’s been amazing actually and we really appreciate Lloydminster’s support,” says Nicole Hartman, manager of Tim Horton’s on 75th Avenue.

Wednesday across Canada patrons can “buy a hot or iced coffee from their neighbourhood Tim Hortons and help send a local kid to camp.”

“All the proceeds from coffees and iced coffees also the bracelets and socks. Any donations went to the kids for camp; the underserved community,” adds Hartman.

Tim Hortons says the camp seeks to empower kids to believe in their own potential and change their stories for the better.

Hartman notes she has seen the local impact of the camp.

“Absolutely. I’ve heard from many families here that kids have gone to camp and I’ve heard that you (Dan Soul) were actually one of them that have gone to camp. So yeah.”

Hartman says the final tally going towards the camp will be posted in the coming days.
