Lloydminster duo face charges in Kitscoty RCMP stolen vehicle investigation

A Lloydminster duo face charges relating to a Kitscoty RCMP stolen vehicle investigation.

On Aug. 19, Kitscoty RCMP got a report of a stolen vehicle from Lloydminster RCMP, which was equipped with GPS tracking, and in their area.

The combined efforts of Kitscoty, Lloydminster and Vermilion RCMP detachments enabled officers to find the vehicle, as well as a second vehicle they believed was also stolen.

The vehicles were on a lease site near Range Road 12 and Township Road 480.

Officers say when they approached the vehicles, both tried to flee.

One vehicle was stopped by a tire deflation device and the second stopped when it went into a field, according to police. Both drivers were taken into custody without further incident.

Sadie Lameman, 19, from Lloydminster faces charges of:

  • Possession of stolen property over $5000
  • Two counts of possession of stolen property under $5000
  • Flight from police
  • Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle

Also facing charges is 20-year-old Joshua Canada for:

  • Possession of stolen property over $5000
  • Possession of stolen property under $5000
  • Flight from police
  • Failure to comply with a release order
  • Mischief under $5000

Both Lameman and Canada have been released from custody and are due back in Lloydminster Provincial Court on Sept. 13.

Gerry has lived in Lloydminster since winter 2010. That detail is important as coming from the Caribbean he did not see green grass until May. Now an Alberta/Western Canada resident, you would be hard-pressed to find a stronger proponent of Lloydminster than the news guy that appreciates a healthy dose of rock music and dress code leather. His mantra is focus on one thing and do it well.
