Longboarder struck by vehicle

A Lloydminster youth has received minor injuries after being hit by a car.

On April 17th, just after 8:00 p.m., a youth was struck by a vehicle near 44 Street and 49 Avenue while longboarding. WPD Ambulance tended to the youth who was then transported to hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Lloydminster RCMP want to caution drivers as the weather gets warmer there will be more pedestrians, cyclists, and children playing on or near roadways.

Motorists are encouraged to slow down and take a second look to ensure no one is trying to cross the street.

The investigation into this incident is still ongoing.
