Onion Lake RCMP seek three suspects after carjacking

Onion Lake RCMP have issued warrants for three suspects and are seeking to identify a fourth person after a couple was allegedly carjacked on Highway 797.

Police are working on getting photos of two of the suspects. They have supplied an image of Alex Dillon who is about 5 feet 5 inches in height and weighs 185 pounds, with black hair and brown hair.

The second suspect is Wilson Tyler Mountain, also known as Tyler Mountain. He is described as about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Police are also seeking Charlie Chief who is 5 feet 4 inches and weighs 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Investigators say on April 17, 2023 at about 8 a.m. they were called to the scene after two adults were forced to stop their vehicle and get into the back seat by four armed individuals who were on foot. The victims told police they were driven a short distance before they were let go. Then the suspects drove away in the victims car. The victims say they did not suffer any physical injuries. Police found the vehicle in Onion Lake later in the day.

Onion Lake RCMP have charged three suspects in relation to this incident and are actively working to find them.

Forty-year-old Wilson Tyler Mountain, 19-year-old Charlie Chief and 27-year-old Alex Dillon, all from Onion Lake, are each charged with:

  • Two counts, robbery
  • Two counts, pointing a firearm
  • One count, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

As police work to identify the fourth suspect they are asking that anyone with information on the whereabouts of these individuals can contact the Onion Lake RCMP at 306-344-5550. Information can also be submitted anonymously via Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
