Traffic on Highway 16 will face lane restrictions today between 75th and 80th avenue in Lloydminster. Eastbound lanes will be closed off, and eastbound traffic will be rerouted into one of the westbound lanes. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in either direction, due to the extension of 80th avenue south of highway 16. The temporary lane closure is expected be in place for 4 to 6 weeks. Drivers who use the route are advised to allow for extra time to reach their destination.
