As Lloydminster crews push to complete the downtown street work, officials say the site may appear to be more accessible but it’s still a construction site. The city asks that pedestrians and motorists continue to follow the signs that have been posted to protect everyone in the area.
Alley access remains open to all businesses in the downtown construction area, including those along 50 Street between 50 Avenue and 49 Avenue.
The work downtown is due to wrap up in early October.
During the week of Sep 11., tasks being completed include:
- Â Continuation of placement, shaping, and compacting of the granular base course
- Anticipation of concrete curb and gutter placement later in the week
During construction, 24 temporary parking stalls are available at Synergy Credit Union at the corner of 49 Avenue and 49 Street, say officials.
