Lloyd Comp takes ‘Yes Dear’ to Red Deer

Seven awards later, Lloydminster Comprehensive actors are bound for Red Deer provincials with the one-act play, Yes Dear.

Twenty students represented the Border City at the Alberta One Act Plays showpiece, from April 17-19.

The honour roll after the three-day contest reads:

1) Desirae Messmer: Excellence in Light Design
2) Izac Verigan: Excellence in Set Design
3) Gabrielle Lampow: Excellence in Acting – Supporting Role
4) Izac Verigan: Excellence in Acting – Supporting Role
5) Emry Marchand – Best Student Written Play
6) Yes, Dear – Most Outstanding Play (moves onto Provincials)
7) Tynaiha Bird – Honourable Mention for Acting in a Supporting Role

The young performers will take centre stage at the provincial contest in May.
