Alberta, Saskatchewan premiers to discuss energy at Lloydminster Heavy Oil Show in September

Alberta Premier Danielle Smith and Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe will discuss energy opportunities and issues in one of the highlights at September’s Heavy Oil Show in Lloydminster.

The conversation is slated for Wednesday, Sep. 11, during lunch on the first full day of the event.

The Heavy Oil Show gets going with the opening ceremony and banquet on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. The fireside chat during the banquet will include panellists Jeff Lawson, Senior Vice-President of Corporate Development and Acting Chief Sustainability Officer with Cenovus Energy, and Mr. Kendall Dilling, CEO of Pathways Alliance.

The two-day event in Canada’s heavy oil capital is presented by the Lloydminster Oilfield Technical Society and member volunteers.

“The Lloydminster Heavy Oil Show is a staple in the heavy oil industry, and the committee is excited to present the 2024 edition of this great bi-annual show,” says show chairperson Andrew Oracheski.

Attendees will have the opportunity to explore indoor and outdoor oil-themed exhibits and additional shows featuring oil and gas support services.

The Lloydminster Heavy Oil Show takes place at the Lloydminster Agricultural Exhibition Grounds.

Gerry has lived in Lloydminster since winter 2010. That detail is important as coming from the Caribbean he did not see green grass until May. Now an Alberta/Western Canada resident, you would be hard-pressed to find a stronger proponent of Lloydminster than the news guy that appreciates a healthy dose of rock music and dress code leather. His mantra is focus on one thing and do it well.
