Vermilion driver dies in collision near Kitscoty

A Vermilion man who was involved in a collision on Highway 16 near Kitscoty has been pronounced deceased at the scene.

On Dec. 1, 2024, at about 8:49 p.m., Kitscoty RCMP responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a semi-truck and a car on Highway 16. The driver of the car was a 29-year-old male resident of Vermilion.

His family has been notified and the Alberta RCMP is sending condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.

The motor vehicle collision, which RCMP described as serious required the closure of the westbound lane of Highway 16 between Range Road 30 and Range Road 25.
