Second thunderclapper for Napper

Lightning has struck twice as Marilyn Napper has won the Lloyd Ex Chase the Ace for a second time.

Napper has been playing since the raffle’s inception and in 2020 won $3,214 when the Ace of Hearts was pulled.

This time she takes home $246,702.00 in the latest installment of the Lloyd Ex fundraiser.

“I’m getting a John Deere Gator for the farm. And I’m getting a microwave which is what my granddaughter suggested,” says Napper.

Some home renovations are also being contemplated along with “goodies for the family.” Napper is expressing her gratitude for everyone’s support for the fundraiser.

“Thank you to the Lloyd Ex. And thank you to everyone that bought tickets. It goes to a good cause. I fully support the Lloydminster Exhibition. I’m hoping we will be able to have an equestrian centre in the near future.”

The Lloyd Ex says that proceeds from the draw will go to capital projects like a new
grandstand or indoor agriculture facility.

A date for the next Chase the Ace is to be announced.

Gerry has lived in Lloydminster since winter 2010. That detail is important as coming from the Caribbean he did not see green grass until May. Now an Alberta/Western Canada resident, you would be hard-pressed to find a stronger proponent of Lloydminster than the news guy that appreciates a healthy dose of rock music and dress code leather. His mantra is focus on one thing and do it well.
