Some $2.4 million has been approved by Lloydminster City Council as ASL Paving will tackle some of the street upgrades this year.
The bid for this contract comes in at $2,423,104.29 excluding GST.
Work is planned for:
- 49 Avenue from 12-15 Streets
- 75 Avenue from 43-44 Streets
- 51 Avenue from 26-27 Streets, including 26A Street Close
Work will be begin in the spring and is expected to be done by Sep. 26.
Another project which is connected to the Cenovus Energy Hub will see work along 40 Avenue from 41-44 Streets. This work will be included in the 36 Street and 40 Avenue upgrades which are already underway.
Knelsen Sand and Gravel has won that contract for $1,801,132.50, excluding GST with a 10 per cent contingency of $180,113.25, excluding GST.
