Kindness is Sweet gives to nine non-profits

The sweet aroma of kindness provides the fragrance of a student-driven fundraiser by Mother Teresa kids with nine charities benefitting in Year Four.

Each of these groups is getting $2,130.62 from donut sales, community donations, and a contribution from Cenovus.

  • Lloydminster Rescue Squad
  • KidSport Lloydminster
  • Border Paws Animal Shelter
  • Lloydminster Regional Health Foundation

The next group of beneficiaries will be receiving $1,380.32.

  • The Olive Tree
  • Border City Connects
  • Lloydminster Public Library

The third tranche of donations is for $1,005.66 each.

  • United Way Lloydminster & District
  • Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lloydminster

In Year Five, organizers are aiming for $15,000 in donut sales. They are grateful for all the community support and various groups that challenged each other to surpass their sweet generosity.

In the four years that the kids have been designing donuts which were then baked by Sobeys, their efforts have raised $29,379.07 which went to various Lloydminster non-profits.
