The GOAT 106km Swim

June 16 - June 20

Robyn Coleman is a teen open water swimmer living in Alberta, Canada.

She was raised near Wainwright, Alberta, and swam with the Wainwright Torpedoes swim club, and the Lloydminster Riptides Swim Club.

At the age of 12, Robyn Coleman experienced a minor stroke that affected her ability to eat, speak, walk and swim. Now at 19 Robyn is attempting to break the Guinness World Record of Fastest time to swim the length of Okanagan Lake (female)

This swim isn’t just about breaking records; it’s about raising $10,600 for the Heart and Stroke Foundation and increasing awareness for stroke recovery.

This swim will be a continuous swim around the clock without stops, or any aids.  Robyn will be accompanied by a support crew to monitor her health and to provide nutrition.  This crew will be on land and water – land crew to prep meals and provide a place for kayakers and drivers to rest, and a boat crew comprising of a pontoon boat plus a speed boat, and 2 kayaks that will flank Robyn in the water to offer visibility support and safety.

The entire swim is planned to be completed in under 72 hours, and will be live streamed, with GPS tracking attached to my ankle.

The LiveStream and LiveGPS Tracker will be available here to watch during the swim.  And we’ll be sharing details on Instagram.

Robyn is looking for event sponsors to help cover the costs for the support crew.  See how you can get involved here.
