Mount Joy is gearing up for the ski season. At the annual work bee, phase one of preparation was done, which included mowing the ski runs, painting, and a general cleanup. There is still more work to be done though, as Mount Joy hopes to complete a major project in time for the season. The hill is planning to install a new dugout which would provide water to snow-making machines at the top of Mount Joy. This would give the ski resort snowmaking abilities at the top as well as the bottom of the hill, and extend the ski season.
