Search Warrant Leads to Charges and Significant Seizure of Stolen Property

Cold Lake RCMP have recovered a number of stolen items.

With the assistance of the RCMP Auto Theft Unit, Cold Lake RCMP executed a search warrant at a rural property in the Municipal District of Bonnyville, on August 24, 2016.

The search warrant a Ford F-350 and another car car, 3 All-Terrain vehicles, two snowmobiles, 1 utility trailer, a cross bow, and ammunition were, all of which were seized. And prior to the search warrant a second stolen truck was recovered from the same property.

41-year-old, James Nunweiller, of Cold Lake was arrested and is facing charges of 8 counts of possession of property obtained by crime, 3 counts of altering or removing a VIN number, and 2 counts of possessing a cross-bow and ammunition while prohibited.

As well, 41-year-old, Jason Nunweiller, was also arrested and is facing similar charges: 8 counts of possession of property obtained by crime and 3 counts of altering or removing a VIN number.

Both men are scheduled to appear before a Justice of the Peace and were released on $2,500.00 cash bail to attend Cold Lake Provincial Court on Wednesday, September 28, 2016, at 10:00 a.m.
