Farm Credit Canada is thanking the Lloydminster and District Co-op after another successful Drive Away Hunger Campaign. The campaign has been held annually for 11 years, where the FCC drives tractors through communities across Canada to collect food donations for local food banks. In Lloydminster they partner with the Co-op, where customers can buy bags of pre-packaged food to be donated to the Lloydminster Salvation Army Food Bank. The FCC’s Manager of Business Development for the Camrose District Gordon Laboccetta says that the amount of food raised across Canada throughout the life of the initiative is 17.5 million pounds.
