Irma resident reportedly wins $50 million jackpot

CTV News is reporting that an elderly woman from Irma, Alberta, won a multi-million dollar prize on Friday.

According to the report, a senior in the village of 500 people won the $50 million Lotto Max jackpot on Friday. The village is located east of Wainwright.

106.1 The Goat has reached out to the Western Canada Lottery Corporation for further confirmation on the matter. According to a news release issued by WCLC, the $50 million prize has been won, along with another ticket in the second prize category. The total worth of the second prize was $1,257, 244.10.
