Salvation Army launches Christmas kettle campaign

Tomorrow will mark the launch of the Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Campaign. The launch will take place at their Family Services location at 10 am.

With the economic downturn, the Salvation Army has seen a rise in people who require the food bank in Lloydminster.

All of the money raised by the campaign stays within the community, supporting the food bank, Christmas hampers, and the Red Cap program, as well as other initiatives.

Kettles can be found at Wal-Mart, Superstore, Safeway, and Co-op until Christmas Eve.

Donations can also be made online at www.fillthekettle.com. The goal of the Kettle Campaign this year is to raise $50 000.

If you would like to volunteer you can call 780-870-1346, to schedule a shift.
