Shot Fired At Lloydminster Liquor Store Break-In

Lloydminster RCMP are asking for the public’s help in finding the suspects involved in a break and enter. Early Tuesday morning, the RCMP responded to a break-in at a liquor store involving two pickup trucks, one of which was stolen. A spike belt was deployed at the intersection of Highway 16 and 40th Avenue to stop one of the trucks. At the spike belt, an officer fired at the vehicle. It was stopped later just outside city limits, and two people were arrested. The RCMP have not explained why the officer fired at the truck, and the Alberta Serious Incident Response Team is investigating. The second truck managed to escape. It’s a dark grey Chevrolet, with a GMC grill and chrome side panels. If anyone has any information they’re asked to call the RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
