Wainwright Municipal Election Information

On Monday, Wainwright voters will be heading to the polls to elect their City Council.

Incumbent Mayor Brian Bethune is running unopposed, while eight people are running for five spots on council. The polling station is located at the Wainwright and District Communiplex and is open from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.

Voters must be at least 18 years old, a Canadian citizen and a resident of Alberta for a minimum of 6 months prior to the election and must live in division on election day. To vote, you need one piece of government issued photo I.D. which contains your address or another document clearly stating your name and address. Passports are not accepted.
