Lloydminster man charged with second degree murder

Lloydminster RCMP have charged a 20-year old man with second degree murder in the death of Shane Victor Lynas.

An autopsy conducted at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Edmonton Tuesday morning found that Lynas’ death was a homicide.

Deshane Tayden Bird was one of two people arrested Monday and has been charged with one count of second degree murder. The other person was released from custody without any charges.

Bird will be appearing in Provincial Court in Lloydminster Feb. 20 at 10:00 a.m.

Police say that this was a targeted incident and that they will not be providing anymore information.
