Two people are in custody after what RCMP are calling a homicide in Lloydminster early Monday morning. Just after midnight, police were called to a home in the city to help a seriously injured 47 year old man. He died shortly after officers arrived, and mounties have identified his as 47 year old Shane Victor Lynas of Lloydminster.

The RCMP’s Major Crimes Unit was called in to investigate, alongside local police and the Forensic Identification Section. They have since arrested two people in connection with the murder, but charges have not yet been laid.

Police say they aren’t looking for anyone else, and believe this was not a random incident. It is still under investigation. No further details have been released at this time.
