Bobcats Coach Clayton leaving team

The Lloydminster Bobcats announced Friday that GM and Coach Travis Clayton and the team have parted ways.

In a statement, the team thanked Coach Clayton for his services and wished him luck in further endeavours.  He has run the team for the last two years, and in his second year lead the Bobcats to their first playoff appearance since the 2015-16 season. His leaving comes just one day after the Bobcats’ Director of player personnel Dwayne Reinhart also left the team.

As the Cats search for a new coach, IHD Hockey and Lance Ward will step in as interim coaches, and there is an open call for anyone who wants to join up as GM and/or Coach. Applications can be sent directly to the Lloydminster Bobcats.
