Alberta reports 28 new COVID-19 cases, 73 more recoveries

Alberta has reported 28 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours. Three more deaths related to the virus were announced with two in the Calgary zone and one in the Edmonton zone.

No new cases were found in the Central zone and there have been no changes to the status of COVID-19 cases in the Lloydminster area.

The total number of cases in the province is 1,451 with 592 of them being listed as recovered. Over 70,000 tests have been completed with 6,571 of them in the Central zone.

Alberta Health Minister Tyler Shandro announced a temporary expansion to the Peter Lougheed Hospital in Calgary to provide more space during the COVID-19 pandemic.
