Construction crews to begin building some new Bud Miller amenities September 7th

Lloydminster residents will see construction crews begin work on some new amenities at Bud Miller Park soon.

Sveer Maintenance and city workers are building four new pickleball and two new basketball courts, with construction starting Tuesday.

The budget to build the new facilities was finalized in June, to the tune of $303,065.75, excluding GST, plus a contingency allowance of 12% in the amount of $36,000, excluding GST, to come out of the 2021 Capital Budget.

For the length of the project, pre-existing lawn bowling amenities will be unavailable for use, as will the Bud Miller All Seasons Park access trail from 28 Street. This trail will be barricaded at this time, as it will be used for hauling materials.

Residents are asked to obey all posted signage throughout the park for applicable trail detours. Construction is expected to wrap by September 30th, weather permitting.
