Lloydminster housing task force gets marching orders

The City of Lloydminster has tasked the members of the Housing Working Group to tackle housing needs and support individuals experiencing housing instability.

The 2024 Housing Needs Assessment indicates that Lloydminster requires 2302 new houses by 2031 to meet the growing demand. It estimates some 190 people are in some state of homelessness as of Oct. 2023. The Lloydminster Men’s Shelter estimates some 250 people are facing homelessness as of August 2024.
