Saskatchewan Transportation Week, Sep 21-27

It’s Saskatchewan Transportation Week, running September 21-27—recognizing the people who keep the province moving and connected.

Highways Minister David Marit says Saskatchewan has the largest per capita highway network in Canada, vital for services and the province’s export-driven economy.

The Ministry of Highways is investing $777 million in major projects, including the following  upgrades:

  • Passing lanes on Highway 17 north of Lloydminster
  • Construction from the Marshall access on Highway 16 east to about 16km east of Lashburn
  • Maidstone area construction along Highway 21 north and south

For road updates motorists and commuters may use the online app – Highway Hotline.

Gerry has lived in Lloydminster since winter 2010. That detail is important as coming from the Caribbean he did not see green grass until May. Now an Alberta/Western Canada resident, you would be hard-pressed to find a stronger proponent of Lloydminster than the news guy that appreciates a healthy dose of rock music and dress code leather. His mantra is focus on one thing and do it well.
