Lloydminster’s Trunk or Treat draws over 2,500 for Halloween fun

The Lloydminster Agricultural Exhibition Association, in partnership with the Lloydminster & District Co-op, celebrated a successful Trunk or Treat event on October 21, welcoming more than 2,500 attendees for an afternoon filled with Halloween excitement and community spirit.

Families from across the region gathered to enjoy a safe, family-friendly trick-or-treat experience ahead of Halloween. Local businesses and organizations went all out decorating their vehicles, creating a festive atmosphere for the costumed kids who came by.

A new feature this year was the Inclusion Hour, which provided a quieter, more accessible environment for families who benefit from a calmer space, noted the event planners. The initiative was warmly received and proved to be a highlight of the event.

2025 Trunk Decorating Contest Winners:

  • 1st Place: Lloydminster RCMP, Midwest Victim Services & Peace Officers
  • 2nd Place: Groomer Has It
  • 3rd Place: FILCAL, Maxwell Reliant Realty, and Mandaragit Eagles

Organizers expressed their gratitude to all participants, volunteers, and attendees, with special thanks to the Lloydminster & District Co-op for their support in making the event a success.

Gerry has lived in Lloydminster since winter 2010. That detail is important as coming from the Caribbean he did not see green grass until May. Now an Alberta/Western Canada resident, you would be hard-pressed to find a stronger proponent of Lloydminster than the news guy that appreciates a healthy dose of rock music and dress code leather. His mantra is focus on one thing and do it well.
