Full Lloydminster health services needs assessment released by Alberta and Saskatchewan governments

The Alberta and Saskatchewan governments have released the full Lloydminster Health Services Needs Assessment after previously making only a summary of the report public earlier this year.

In a message to members of the Lloydminster Bi-Provincial Health Services Committee, provincial officials said both governments remain committed to providing high-quality healthcare services to residents of Lloydminster and the surrounding area.

Officials said the decision to release the complete report came after further review by both provinces. The assessment examines healthcare needs in Lloydminster and its catchment area and is intended to support future planning efforts.

According to the provinces, the findings will be used to evaluate existing programs and services and identify opportunities for improvements in the region’s healthcare system. The report will also be considered alongside broader healthcare planning initiatives and resource allocation decisions in both Alberta and Saskatchewan.

The assessment is expected to be a topic of ongoing discussion for the Lloydminster Bi-Provincial Health Services Committee, which brings together representatives from both provinces and local stakeholders to address healthcare issues unique to the border city.

The full report is available through the Saskatchewan and Alberta government websites.

Gerry has lived in Lloydminster since winter 2010. That detail is important as coming from the Caribbean he did not see green grass until May. Now an Alberta/Western Canada resident, you would be hard-pressed to find a stronger proponent of Lloydminster than the news guy that appreciates a healthy dose of rock music and dress code leather. His mantra is focus on one thing and do it well.
