City seeking members for new event arena sponsorship, fundraising committees

The City of Lloydminster is looking for residents willing to serve on the committees responsible for sponsorship and fundraising for the new event arena on the city’s southeast, just east of 40 Avenue.

Sponsorship

The sponsorship committee will develop sponsorship packages and sell sponsorship opportunities to businesses funding the new event arena project. The committee will work together with the fundraising committee to ensure both committees support major initiatives.

Fundraising

The fundraising committee will lead fundraising efforts for the arena project including events, auctions, and other fundraising activities to involve the community. This committee will work in tandem with the sponsorship committee to support each other’s efforts.

Application deadline

The city says interested persons need to submit the sponsorship/fundraising committee application form by Monday, February 14th. The terms of reference are on the city’s website.
