City launches social needs survey Monday

In conjunction with the Lloydminster Youth Council, the City of Lloydminster is launching its Social Needs Assessment survey next Monday April 11th.

The event will be livestreamed from City Hall at 10am.

As MyLloydminsterNow has reported a special aspect of the survey will be the youth component which the youth council has been developing to gain insight from the younger demographic of the Border City.

The six-week campaign aims to uncover a snapshot into the social well-being of residents, says the City.

Sharing remarks will be Mayor Gerald Aalbers, Economic Development Officer, Katlin Ducherer, Social Programs & Services Manager Patrick Lancaster, Lloydminster Youth Council Chair Rylee Wood and Population Health Promotion, Saskatchewan Health Authority Bonita Brick.

The results of the survey assist with developing policies and programs according to the City.

The previous social needs survey was done in 2018.

Gerry has lived in Lloydminster since winter 2010. That detail is important as coming from the Caribbean he did not see green grass until May. Now an Alberta/Western Canada resident, you would be hard-pressed to find a stronger proponent of Lloydminster than the news guy that appreciates a healthy dose of rock music and dress code leather. His mantra is focus on one thing and do it well.
