On the evening of October 6th, the Bonnyville Friendship Centre invites you to a powerful evening of remembrance — a Vigil for Murdered, Missing, and Exploited Indigenous Persons, and for the Stolen Children who never made it home. This free community event will take place at the Bonnyville Centennial Centre and is open to all. It’s a time to come together to raise awareness, honour lives lost, and support healing in our communities. Doors open at 5:30, with a catered meal at 6, followed by the ceremony at 7. The evening will feature cultural performances, heartfelt words from distinguished guest speakers, in attendance will be various government officials, and a moving reading by a local Indigenous Student Support Worker. Please join us as we gather in strength, love, and solidarity to remember, to honour, and to never forget.
