According to the latest Statistics Canada report, May brought little change to unemployment rates in the area that house Lloydminster.
The unemployment rate for the Camrose-Drumheller is 4 per cent for the month, which remains unchanged from April. Compared to May 2017, the rate has fallen by 4.8 per cent.
In Alberta, the rate sits at 6.2 per cent, with a 0.5 per cent decrease from April. The province has approximately 2.3 million people currently employed. Whereas, in Saskatchewan the unemployment increased to 6.8 per cent from 6.3 per cent in April with 564,00 people being employed.
In Canada, sits at 5.8 per cent for the fourth consecutive month.
