Holy Rosary High School will send four senior badminton players to provincials in Edmonton on May 3-4.
This was after the Raiders brought home gold in senior boys’ doubles, silver in senior girls’ doubles, and bronze in senior mixed doubles. There were two fourth-placed teams in intermediate mixed doubles and intermediate boys singles.
The ASAA High School Provincial tournament will take place at Saville Centre with 384 athletes from eight zones in Alberta.
The Raiders contingent in Edmonton:
KC Reyes and Justine Mendoza in senior boys doubles. The duo won gold at the district contest, and followed up with a gold at the zone level on April 24, going undefeated throughout the day in Fort McMurray.
Also, Andrea Castelo and Loriss Baluyot in senior girls’ doubles. This pair won silver at the districts and zone contests.
