Learn, move, engage: Seniors Information Fair, Mar. 12

Learning, connection and community are at the heart of the Seniors Information Fair taking place Thursday, March 12, according to City of Lloydminster event planners.

Seniors are invited to a free afternoon gathering at the Legacy Centre aimed at bringing people together and helping them explore local supports.

Hosted in partnership with the Lloydminster Learning Council, the drop‑in event runs from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Legacy Centre, 5101 46 Street. No registration is required, and organizers say the informal setup allows attendees to participate at their own pace.

More than 25 senior‑focused organizations will be on hand, sharing information on health, safety, recreation, housing and other topics of interest. The first 100 attendees will receive complimentary resources, and refreshments will be available to everyone throughout the afternoon.

Two breakout sessions will be featured:

  • Movement for Independence, led by fitness specialists from the Servus Sports Centre
  • Aging: What’s Normal, What’s Not, presented by Dr. A. Antonio, who will lead a 30‑minute session on typical aging changes and the red flags that require medical attention

City officials say the fair is designed to help seniors ask questions, discover available supports and gain a clearer understanding of the programs and services offered in the community.

More details, including the full vendor list, are available on the city’s website.
