2025 – Year of resilience
The AGM drew a strong turnout of Lloydminster business owners, reflecting continued engagement within the local business community. Chamber executive director Teri‑Lynn MacKie highlighted 2025 as a year that demonstrated resilience, noting the Chamber navigated both challenges and opportunities while continuing to make progress.
Throughout the year, the Chamber hosted a range of events focused on networking and community connection. One of the staples was the 24th annual golf tournament, which brought members together for a day of friendly competition and relationship building. Core offerings such as Chamber Connections and Chamber on Taps also continued to support local businesses.
Business Awards, Craft Fair
Another major highlight was the Chamber’s Business Awards, which set a new attendance record with 370 people taking part. The event also recognized longtime community leader Richard Starke with a lifetime achievement award.
Following closely behind was the Chamber’s Christmas Craft Fair and Chamber Expo. The event drew more than 16,000 people, filled vendor spaces completely, and even created a wait list for exhibitors.
New networking
Looking ahead, the Chamber is introducing a new networking opportunity called Chamber Coffee and Conversations. The first session is scheduled for April 15 at 7 a.m. at Noyce Photography and is aimed at creating another accessible way for members to connect.
Beyond events, advocacy remains a core focus of the organization.
One of the Chamber’s most popular events, the annual golf tournament, returns May 26 and is expected to sell out once again.
The Chamber continues to represent local business interests in discussions with municipal, provincial, and federal decision‑makers. Current advocacy priorities include policing resources, health care, local procurement, and airport‑related issues.
New board
The AGM also confirmed the Chamber’s 11‑member board for the year, which includes an appointment for Mayor Gerald Aalbers. The board will have its first meeting later this month to set strategic priorities and direction for the coming year.

Membership engagement was also a key topic at the AGM, with a focus on helping businesses understand how to get the most value from their Chamber membership. Some members join for advocacy, while others focus on promotion, networking, and building connections within the business community.
